A ceremony for the distribution of laptops under the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme was held at BUITEMS Sub Campus Zhob, providing eligible students with valuable technological resources to support their academic, research, and professional development.
The ceremony was graced by Prof. Dr. Abdul Salam Lodhi, Dean/Director, BUITEMS Sub Campus Zhob, as the Chief Guest. Heads of Departments, faculty members, teaching and administrative staff, and students attended the ceremony.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Dr. Abdul Salam Lodhi congratulated the students receiving laptops and appreciated the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme for promoting access to technology among university students. He emphasized that technology has become an integral part of modern higher education and encouraged students to make effective and responsible use of the laptops for academic learning, research, digital resources, online education, data analysis and professional development.
He further highlighted the importance of developing digital literacy, research skills, critical thinking and technological competencies to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving, knowledge-based economy. He urged students to view the laptops not merely as electronic devices but as tools for acquiring knowledge, conducting research, developing innovative ideas and preparing themselves for competitive professional environments.
Prof. Dr. Abdul Salam Lodhi also appreciated the efforts of the University administration, Heads of Departments, faculty members and administrative staff for their cooperation in facilitating the distribution process and ensuring its effective implementation.
In his message, Engr. Prof. Khalid Hafeez, Vice Chancellor, BUITEMS, congratulated all the students who received laptops and encouraged them to make productive use of these technological resources to enhance their learning, research, and academic capabilities.
The ceremony concluded with the formal distribution of laptops among eligible students. The initiative represents an important step towards strengthening digital learning, research and technological empowerment among students at BUITEMS Sub Campus Zhob.
The laptop distribution also reflects BUITEMS’ commitment to expanding access to technology, promoting innovation, and equipping students with the knowledge and digital competencies needed to contribute to the development of Balochistan and Pakistan.
