Orientation Session and Campus Visit for Students Selected on Reserved Scholarship Seats

An Orientation Session and Campus Visit was organized at the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) for students selected for admission to BS programs on reserved scholarship seats for students from outside Balochistan.
The purpose of the visit was to familiarize the newly selected students with the university’s academic environment, facilities, rules and regulations, and opportunities available at BUITEMS. The students visited various university facilities and expressed their appreciation for the modern infrastructure, academic facilities, learning environment, and overall campus atmosphere.
Campus Visit
The students were taken on a guided campus visit to familiarize them with the university’s academic and support facilities. They visited key facilities and observed the learning environment, infrastructure, and services available to students at BUITEMS.
The students expressed their satisfaction and appreciation for the university’s facilities, academic environment, and overall campus infrastructure. The visit provided them with an opportunity to better understand university life and the resources available to support their academic and personal development.
Orientation Session
The orientation session commenced at the Markhor Auditorium with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the National Anthem of Pakistan. The session was graced by distinguished guests and senior officials, including:

In his welcome address, Prof. Dr. Abdul Wadood, Director Student Affairs and Academics, BUITEMS, warmly welcomed and congratulated the selected students on behalf of the university. He emphasized that BUITEMS was pleased to welcome students from different parts of the province and encouraged them to make full use of the academic, co-curricular, and personal development opportunities available at the university.
Following the welcome remarks, Mr. Salar Khan, Deputy Director, Student Affairs and Academics, delivered a comprehensive orientation presentation. The presentation covered important aspects of undergraduate education, including academic rules and regulations, examination procedures, academic policies, student conduct, relevant HEC policies, and other academic procedures. He also highlighted the significance of campus life and encouraged students to actively participate in academic, co-curricular, extracurricular, and student development activities.
Addressing the students, Mr. Saleh Muhammad Baloch, Secretary, CH&TE Department, Government of Balochistan, highlighted the Government of Balochistan’s commitment to supporting the youth through educational scholarships and opportunities. He explained that the scholarship initiative reflects the government’s efforts to provide talented students with access to quality higher education and enable them to build successful academic and professional careers.
He encouraged the students to value this opportunity, remain committed to their studies, and contribute positively to the development of Balochistan and Pakistan. In his address, Prof. Dr. Khalid Hafeez (TI), Worthy Vice Chancellor, BUITEMS, congratulated the selected students on securing admission through the reserved scholarship seats. He appreciated the Government of Balochistan for supporting deserving students and emphasized that such initiatives provide young people with opportunities to pursue quality higher education and realize their potential.
The Worthy Vice Chancellor encouraged the students to make the best use of the educational and developmental opportunities available at BUITEMS. He advised them to develop expertise in their respective fields, maintain high academic standards, and actively engage in learning, research, innovation, and personal development.
He further encouraged the students to aspire for prestigious international scholarships and higher education opportunities after graduation, emphasizing that their achievements at national and international levels would not only contribute to their personal and professional growth but also bring a good name to Balochistan and Pakistan.
The Campus Visit and the Orientation Session provided the newly selected scholarship students with valuable information about the academic system, rules and regulations, student services, campus life, and available opportunities. The session also served as an important platform for motivating students to take full advantage of their scholarship and pursue academic excellence.
The university welcomed the students and reaffirmed its commitment to providing them with a supportive, inclusive, and intellectually enriching environment.
