The 35th Meeting of the Finance & Planning Committee (F&PC) of the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) was held on 12 August 2026 under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Khalid Hafeez, Vice Chancellor, BUITEMS.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Arbab Mirwais Kasi, Pro Vice Chancellor, BUITEMS, Mr. Jamal Mustafa, Registrar, BUITEMS, representatives of the Government of Balochistan and the Higher Education Commission (HEC), senior university officials, Deans, faculty members, and other members of the Committee.
Among the distinguished members attending the meeting were Mr. Bashir Ahmed, Consultant, Finance Department, Government of Balochistan; Mr. Sohail Hamayoun Khan, Deputy Director Finance, HEC; Mr. Azeem Anjum Hunbhi, Junior Political Secretary to Governor Secretariat, Balochistan; Dr. Kamran Sami, Director ORIC, BUITEMS; Dr. Surat Khan, Dean FICT, BUITEMS; Dr. Syed Munawar Shah, Professor, Department of Economics; Dr. Hameeda Panezai, Professor, Department of Chemistry; Dr. Salam Lodhi, Dean/Director UCoZ; Dr. Zahid Rauf, Director QE&A; Mr. Muhammad Hamayoun, Director Finance and Secretary of the Committee; and Mr. Ali Kakar, Director Muslim Bagh Campus, as Co-opted Member.
The meeting provided an important forum for reviewing and deliberating upon matters related to the financial management and planning of BUITEMS. The Committee reviewed the University’s financial position and planning for the upcoming financial year, while also considering matters related to employee welfare, academic operations, and the continued development of the University and its campuses.
The participation of representatives from relevant government and higher education bodies, alongside BUITEMS’ senior leadership and academic and administrative representatives, reflected the University’s commitment to transparent financial planning, responsible resource management and effective financial governance.
The meeting reaffirmed BUITEMS’ focus on strengthening its financial systems while supporting academic excellence, institutional growth, and the expansion of quality higher education opportunities for students.
